“David Schocken presents a sculptural installation made of a porcelain teapot and cup hung in the air on strings stretched between magnets; a projection of a filmed management meeting with the participants’ faces all blurred; anonymous people on escalators; walking on suspension bridge over the Ganges. In a small side room a car's reverse camera films the visitors in the central exhibition room, thus turning them into part of the exhibit. The sculpted drawings made with a delicate magnetic structure in the exhibition room along with the distance and coldness of the video artworks create a powerful juxtaposition of still life, portrait and landscape, immobility and constant movement, fixation and magnetic power.

In another video work, Schocken is seen clearing a military firing zone in the Negev, picking up rusty cans. One of those cans is hooked to the wall with magnets. Next to the can, there are piles of rusty nails collected from the remains of campfires; a gas canister covered with metal constructions; a black and white photo of a woman Schocken names "The Ultimate"; a frame with a moving LED inscription saying "Home Sweet Home ". On a small shelf cellular Sim cards are placed like aesthetic miniatures. All these are presented like mini stories with great attention to detail, stories in which all that is human is defined by objects and tools, and where relationships become drawings or in which stability is achieved through opposing poles, in a delicate formation of checks and balances always on the verge of disintegration, hung up in the air and trembling on strings.”
