Meet the Artist: 
Raphaëlle Brochet: A prolific vocalist and improviser, Raphaelle Brochet is an artiste who captivates her audience with her solos and performances.Having recorded her first album at the age of 17 with Floris Nico-Bunink she went on to study Jazz from The Nantes Conservatory and completed her Masters in Ethnomusicology from Wesleyan University. 

Under the tutelage of her Guru Smt. Sharada Thota she started learning Carnatic music at the age of 19 and performed at the prestigious Cleveland Aradhana, a Carnatic music festival based in Ohio. She also studied Konnakol, the art of South Indian vocal percussion, under Shri Ghatam Govindrajan. Apart from Carnatic her music is also influenced by Persian and Balinese music which adds to her vast versatility. Years.Years of experience in different styles has led her to perform around the world.

She currently is working on her  solo album and is teaching vocals in Jazz and Carnatic at Swarnabhoomi Academy Of Music, India's premier music institution.
