The Magic of Science and Nature
10:00 am to 11.30 am - B-35 Kailash Colony
4:00 pm to 5:30 pm - D-932 New Friends Colony
Age: 4 to 9 years
Ten days of hands-on experiments where children learn the principals of science by making predictions, experimenting and making deductions from the results. We work with magnets, air, water, mixtures, light, reflections, static electricity, heat, density, a nature table with living creatures and creepy crawlies etc. A fun workshop full of ‘magic’ experiments that make science fascinating for the children.
Science and Nature 2
4:00 pm to 5.30 pm - B-35 Kailash Colony
Age: 7 to 14 years
Continue on your journey of scientific discovery with many more exciting experiments with water, surface tension, light and colours, magnets, oxidation and chemical reactions, making goop and slime and crystals and vegetable batteries and giant bubbles and lots lots more. The children make predictions, observe the results and learn the science behind each experiment in our fun-filled ten-day workshop.
Double Helix
10.30 am to 12:00 pm - D-932 New Friends Colony
Age: 8 to 14 years
Description: Come explore the fascinating field of genetics as we make cell models, discover DNA, learn coding, construct a candy helix, extract plant DNA, study genes and heredity, learn about genetic disorders, understand cloning and investigate and solve a crime using DNA fingerprinting!
Organisation: Leaps and Bounds Enrichment Centre conducts workshops and project classes, to introduce to and enthuse children about their natural and cultural environment.
