Event Description : CEC Delhi welcomes you to the tree walk from Rajghat to Shantivan at Mahatma Gandhi’s well known memorial site ,Rajghat. The whole area also called as the Samadhi Gardens supports a very good tree diversity of which maximum are native and old trees.
Shantivan which means 'Forest of Peace' is situated on Mahatma Gandhi Marg on the main Ring Road along the banks of the Yamuna River. This is the Memorial site of Pundit Jawahar Lal Nehru who was the first appointed Prime Minister of India.
Shanti Van is beautifully landscaped with shady trees and immense greenery and probably for this very reason it was named as the peaceful forest .It is well manicured adorned with beds of plants and shrubs and every step is taken to ensure that the atmosphere and ambience remains serene and unmanned in order to maintain this area as Pt. Nehru's last resting place. 

If you have some adventurous steak you can explore the yet hidden green wealth of the capital city and indulge in a day in the serene atmosphere of Samadhi Gardens.
