Event Description : This summer presents an opportunity for children to develop their skills and discover new talents through filmmaking with Cinedarbaar’s 5th Summer Film Camp
The theme of this year’s camp is LITERARY ADAPTATIONS, hence encouraging them to read too and convert the read stories into an audio visual medium.
The 5th Summer Film Camp by Cinedarbaar, will help children explore an art form which will not only help them develop new skills but also challenge their creativity and imagination.
This camp helps them learn about story writing, script writing, narrative techniques, screenplay writing and film making. As a result of these extensive workshops children have been writing their own scripts and also shooting their own film. These films are then screened at the theater for a red carpet premiere accompanied by professionals from the industry and parents to judge their work which follow prize and certificate distribution. Previously these premieres have been organized at Big Cinemas and Fun Cinemas.
The films made during the camp have been nominated in various categories of awards in the International Children's Film Festival and has won many awards. Earlier, the likes of Modern School and The Heritage School have participated as schools and students of various other schools of Delhi participated like DPS, Apeejay School, Bal Bharti Public School, Suncity School, Ryan International School, Tagore International, Vasant Valley etc.
The two-week long journey will focus on skills such as acting, story writing, story-boarding, directing, editing, shooting and photography. The camp will assist children to develop leadership skills by allowing them to work in teams and enhance their creativity through performance and writing art. Each day the story and dialogues will be created by children to be implemented through a short film. This film will feature all the students of the camp where they will act in it, write it and shoot it.
All the children are given a certificate in the end and the movie is premiered at a theatre for family and friends to watch. Selected films are also sent to national and international film festivals hence opening a new platform of opportunities for them at such a young age.
