Event Description : The School of Arts and Aesthetics Jawaharlal Nehru University Invites you to a Talk “Transborder Women's Cinema:  Filmmaking Between Bangladesh, Pakistan, India” by Dr. Esha Niyogi De (Faculty, UCLA Center for the Study of Women)

Esha Niyogi De is Faculty at the UCLA Center for the Study of Women, and currently holds a Fulbright Senior Multi-Country Research Fellowship for a project on women filmmakers of the northern Subcontinent. Esha N. De is the author of Empire, Media, and the Autonomous Woman:  A Feminist Critique of Postcolonial Thought (Oxford University Press) and the co-author and co-editor of Trans-Status Subjects:  Gender in the Globalization of South and Southeast Asia (Duke University Press)
