Event Description : Cuban film series 'Kangamba' film screening.
Synopsis: Africa, People's Republic of Angola. August 1983. Thousands of UNITA troops, trained and armed by the racist army South African-launch a violent offensive against forces FAPLA-loyalist Angolan-and a group of Cuban advisers combatants FAR parked in Kangamba, a small town located south of the country. For more than a week, an unequal battle, which also hit innocent civilians, develops. This film attempts to capture and recreate this dramatic situation, in which Faplas and FAR fighters try to resist and prevail, but at a high price: the victory, sometimes, can have a bitter taste.
