Rupin Pahwa (Caravan) - Vocalist/Guitarist/Beatboxer/LoopStation Specialist
Besides working for Google as a Search and Display Media Marketing Expert, Rupin Pahwa has been singing since he was 6 years old – school choir> college band>solo projects. Even though he’s classically trained in Indian Music, he is one of the few vocalists who is as effortlessly brilliant on a Sufi song/Classical Ragas as he is on Alt/Progressive tracks. Understanding and expressing meaning through lyrics – he feels he does a better job conveying emotions through music than with just words.
Crowned Mr. Thompso, won Semi-Classical vocals + Western vocals, Karaoke competition, Ad-Mad in 2010 – he won a record 5 individual awards @ IIT Rourkee, 1st ever Delhi Open Karaoke Champion and numerous other awards at various fests/competitions all over India.
He recently won the title of Best Male Vocalist - India @ Karaoke World Championship and represented India in Finland.
He was a finalist at NDTV's Ticket to Bollywood - Delhi and Chandigarh rounds.
In the last couple of months he has played at major venues like Raasta, Out of the box, Attitude Alive, Revv Cafe, Smoke House Deli, Mia Bella, Imperfecto, etc.
