About Grain :
GRAIN is the solo project of Gaurav Raina, one half of India's biggest electronica export - The Midival Punditz. As a producer he has worked with the likes of Anoushka Shankar, Karsh Kale, Sting, Norah Jones. Performed with the likes of Alicia Keys, Norah Jones, Usher and more. Done background scores for films such as Dum Maro Dum, Karthik Calling Karthik, Soundtrack, etc. He is also a DJ who plays cross-genre, experimental sets and explores new scenes and sounds.
"GREY to SILVER" is Grain's first album, which features a series of intense collaborations with some of the most original and inspiring artists from India. Working through most of 2013, out of his studio in Hauz Khas Village, New Delhi, the album is an exploration into lyrical songwriting, gritty textures and deeper sounds with a universal accent.
The album features co-labs with Karsh Kale, Anoushka Shankar, Monica Dogra, Ankur Tewari, Brooklyn Shanti, Talia Bentson & Bhrigu Sahni.
