Event Description : An Introduction to Western Classical Music “Overview, leading into early music (chant) and Medieval (motets and madrigals)” a talk as part of Lecture series by Dr. Punita Singh.

Hungarian Information and Cultural Centre in cooperation with the Delhi Music Society presents a lecture series by eminent musicologist Dr. Punita Singh. The 5 sessions (all starting at 6:00 pm) will cover the major epochs of western classical music as per the following schedule:

4th April, Friday– “Overview, leading into early music (chant) and Medieval (motets and madrigals)”
10th April, Thursday – “Renaissance and early Baroque”
24th April, Thursday– “High and late Baroque into early Classical”
28th April, Monday – “Late Classical into Romantic”
5th May, Monday – “Late Romantic into Modern and post-Modern / conclusion”
