Event Description : “Abracdabra”: A Multilingual Short Film Festival

Theatre Lovers is an entertainment group based in Gurgaon with its primary focus on developing artists in various entertainment forms like acting, dancing, script and screenplay-writing, filmmaking, stage lighting, art design, anchoring and music.
Theatre Lovers, since 2011, has been in the journey of nurturing talents of every age group through their “Talent Studio” program. They have accomplished multiple shows in Delhi NCR region.
In an effort to continue our cultural journey, we are organizing a multilingual short film festival “ABRACADABRA”. The festival aims to bring out the magic and splendour associated with short films, something that most film festivals often miss. The audience will get to witness this magic created by filmmakers from across the country in this exhibition of numerous multi-lingual short films.
Abracadabra! is an event of numerous multilingual short films in one power-packed day. This film festival breaks the conception of an archetypal movie that exists in the mind sets of many people today and helps them develop a love for theatre that transcends the notion of one two-hour long motion picture, into four, 30-minute long short films.

Honorary Chief Guest Mr. AtanU Ghosh, director of "Anshuman Er Chobi" and "Tokhon Teeish". Winner of "Doordarshan National Award for Best Children's Telefilm", Winner of "Shyamal Sen Smriti Samman", "Aravindam Puraskaram" and "Rapa Award" for best screen play. Resent release Roopkotha Noy. Honorary Guest and Inaugurator Mr. D J Narain, Director, Film & Television Institute of India, Pune. Mr. Buddhadeb Dasgupta will be present throughout the event. He will spend time with the short film makers and speak to the audience.
