One Billion Rising Campaign program (music, Flash Mob & Talks) to demand violence against women & girls ends at Central Park, Connaught Place > 5pm to 9pm on 14th February 2014

On 14th of February one billion people from all over the world will rise together to demand that violence against women and girls ends and Justice be delivered and be seen to be delivered for the countless victims and survivors of violence
In Delhi the focus will be on:
To demand an end to violence against women and quick justice on reported cases, OBR South Asia and India is also demanding justice for disabled, LGBT and people of North East.
Immediate Justice for the victims and Survivors of Racist Violence on the North East Women and Men
Justice for the LGBT community, a majority of whom have survived inordinate violence both verbal and physical
Express solidarity to the millions of Disability Rights Activists struggling for years to see the Rights legislated and the Law passed by Parliament
Over a thousand people from over 40 organizations, representing North East Community, LGBT and Disability Groups, women's groups, students, women cab drivers, auto rickshaw drivers will rise together at Central Park, Connaught Place.
There will be a Flash Mob by Delhi Rising
Musical performances by SPACE and Majma bands & Sonam Kalra, a famous musician. There will be a performance by Azad Parindey- a musical troupe of Azad Foundation, SMS (SrijanatmakManushiSanstha) will bring adolescents from the Basties who will sing and dance, there will be multilingual Vagina Monologues by Miranda House students, a play directed by Maya Rao..
Following people will speak briefly on OBR, disability rights (legislation pending in Parliament) Section 377 and violence against women and men from the North East and on violence against girls and women.
