About Puja Mehra Gupta : Puja Mehra Gupta is a singer of Urdu Poetry and has sung at solo shows at the India Habitat Center, the Attic, the Epicenter and the India International Center besides other forum.  Born with a deep love for music, as a singer she has travelled the journey music by grounding herself in Khayal at the Gandharva Mahavidyalaya in Delhi and then subsequently as a disciple of the celebrated Padma Bhushan Shanti Hiranand, who herself was the disciple of the legendary Malika-e-ghazal Begum Akhtar.

With an immense love for music Puja a has performed ghazals written by some of the greatest poets like Mirza Ghalib, Faiz Ahmed Faiz, Ahmed Faraz, Shakeel Badayuni, BahdurshahZafar, KafeAzmi, Jan Nissar Akhtar to name few.

Her style of singing is distinct with a clear voice and true notes, which caress the poetry to bring forth its emotions painting a vivid picture of the state of the poet. She sings from the heart and wears her passion on her sleeve.

A fashion designer by training Puja’s sense of aesthetics spills over in her performances, which never fail to engross her varied audience.
