Entry : Rs.750/person for Non-vegetarians and Rs.600/person for Vegetarians* (These charges cover all costs for the traditional food & beverages we eat & drink)
*Children aged below 7 years are allowed free! 
ESSENTIALS TO CARRY/WEAR:
1- Dress conservatively to respect religious sentiments of the people in the area. No Shorts/uncovered legs/spaghetti tops etc...
2- Carry a covering for your head, irrespective of gender!
3- Flip-flops or open sandals as walking gear will do.

Event Description : Delhi Karavan's Weekend Walk "Zaika-e-Shahjahanabadi: Heritage and Food Karavan in Dilli 6".
Shahjahan was probably one of the greatest emperors of the 17th century. Not only was he a great lover and royal builder, he was also tremendously fond of good food. Special Khan-Samas (royal chefs) used to come over all the way from Central Asia to cook special pakwaan (food items) for the gifted king. Needless to say, the scent of the food of the time still lingers in Shahjahanabad.

Delhi Karavan will take you on a leisurely winter stroll and give you a taste of all savoury and sweet things Old Delhi has to offer. We will cover a distance of 3 km and take you around alleyways and streets where you will try scrumptious things such as tikkas, mutter gobhi samosas, butter chicken, biryani, kheer, shahi tukda (royal piece – you will soon find out of what!) and much much more. Amidst the chaos and the stories and the food, you will experience how the dilliwallahs lived 400 years ago.
