Event Description : 'Renovatio' a solo show of paintings by Naina Piplani.

 Same is true for Naina’s Piplani’s works where the protagonist is the color not the form; the strokes and not the thought. Spontaneity defines Naina’s works as there are no pre conceived thoughts weighing them down. The intimate courtship of colors merging submerging , some retaining their identity others redefining themselves could either mock at the brevity of one’s existence or target the boundless time and space. The bold strokes and the textural surface are utilized to create a sense of movement, a purpose, a mysterious space. A space you could relate to…..

Controlled randomness spread over the canvas being both absolute and unpredictable both remote and connected evokes your ‘metaphysical ‘ self. Naina’s works confronts you and make you receive and respond beyond the visual treat .Her works independent of a stamped title act as a visual metaphor ; with the viewer seeing his own life reflected in that framed pictorial space. Elucidating her captivating works, Naina says “The paint and vivid colors have a special way of coming to life on an ever-metamorphosing canvas. For me painting is the ultimate form of freedom, which allows me to have fun and feel comforted whilst being a therapeutic act at the same time. It is a pure environment where I can share my thoughts and illusions with only the canvas as a neutral recipient. Most importantly my art should be an individual adventure, for each person to find his or her own imagination. ”
