Spiritual Legacy of Sufi Saint Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya(R.A.)

Delhi’s chequered history has seen many conquerors – most plundered riches…but many also conquered hearts! The simple message of love, peace and harmony preached by Sufis, Fakirs and travelling mystics saw people surrender willingly…and Dilli has always been considered very hallowed ground! Delhi after all was one of India’s earliest centres of Sufi teachings was Mehrauli, as far ago as in the late-12th century CE.

 DelhiByFoot ( http://delhibyfoot.in/) in association with Kunzum Travel Cafe are happy to present for the first time in Delhi a special ‘Sufi Baithak’ to share more about the teachings and spiritual legacy of Delhi’s most famous Sufi Saint Khwaja Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia(R.a.) and which will help answer questions you may have always had…but didn’t know who to ask!

Drawing on the traditions of Sufi music and qawwalis as one of the mediums to explain the concept of Sufism and the Sufi way of life, this learning session will attempt to help you unravel the basics of Sufism and Sufi movement in India. The session will be led by a young 'student' of Sufism, a ‘Nizami', a descendent of the original families which lived and served Khwaja Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia(R.A.), and who has personally been giving spiritual guidance to devotees at the Dargah of Nizamuddin Aulia for the past decade.

The presentation will be done in English, Hindi and Urdu
