The lecture will focus on the early publications on Asian Art by the pioneering Europe art historian, Stella Kramrisch, and will explore the academic and historiographical background of her writings.
Dr. Verena Widorn’s research interests cover the area of the Western Himalayas and modernism in India. She is director of the Western Himalaya Archive Vienna and currently Visiting Faculty at the School of Art and Aesthetics, JNU.
