Event Description : Pehchān Programme in association with India HIV/AIDS Alliance and UNDP cordially invites you to the 'National Hijra Habba'.
Hijra and transgender community members from across India along with senior officials from the Union Ministry for Social Justice and Empowerment, Department of AIDS Control (DAC/NACO), law enforcement agencies, media, UNAIDS, UNDP, USAIDS and DFID will promote social justice and empowerment for transgender and hijra communities in India.

The Chief Guest : Ms Shabnam Shabnam "Mausi" Bano is the first transgender Indian to be elected to public office. She was an elected member of the Madhya Pradesh State Legislative Assembly from 1998 to 2003.
