Event Description : Mushaira : Mirza Ghalib and Luis Cernuda
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the death one of the leading figures of the Spanish cultural movement “Generation of the 27th”, the poet Luis Cernuda, we have organised a poetry reading. As a dialogue, we will contrast Cernuda’s artwork with the one of the major urdu poet Mirza Ghalib. The ghazals by Ghalib and the poems by Cernuda, which are far away on time but near in deepness and mysticism, will be talked about together in this event that will try to approach to mushairas lived by Ghalib. We will add the music that inspired the artwork of both poets, even in a contemporary context, images that contextualize his work.
