Kranti, the protagonist is an outsider, struggling to negotiate with the conflict which is haunting him since the D-Day at Faizabad…the dead body and the red ants…He is posing the question again, “Is there a sense in raising the question?...Is there anything worth fighting for?...Is this fighting meaningful?”…and all this while the game of bridge continues, where saying “pass” seems to be more meaningful…
