Event Description : Sanskriti Foundation presents an exhibition of New Acquisitions and Select Objects from the Reserve Collection of Sanskriti Museums (Shadow Puppets - Textiles - Terracotta) on the completion of 35 years of its creative journey.

Shadow Puppets : 
On display are more than 75 representative examples of traditions 
of Indian shadow puppetry from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and 
Kerala. This dying art form comes alive in the exhibition. 

Jaina Temple Hangings : 

A range of temple hangings of the Digambara Jaina sect embroidered in genuine zari and gold-and silver-wire. The collection of fifteen panels is one of the most formidable and representative example of the early 20th century regional Gujarati Jaina temple embroideries of its kind.

Indian Terracotta : 

Votive objects from West Bengal and Gujarat. Made by combination of wheel turning and hand-modelling techniques, on display are Manasa Jhar and long-necked terracottas from Bankura, West Bengal, and a group of now nearly extinct votive figures from Central and South Gujarat.
