senor quixana, a gentleman farmer, believes he is the knight of the rueful countenance a.k.a. don quijote of la mancha, destined to bring back the golden age and restore peace and justice to the world, while the rest of the world believes that he has gone quite mad. but isn't too much sanity also a madness? and the maddest of all is to see life as it is, and not as it should be.
quijote wallah is a collaboration between the street artist known as harsh raman singh paul, and the performance maker known as sukhesh arora. based on the first part of the 16th century classic by miguel cervantes, quijote wallah walks the line between perception and reality, belief and doubt, the apparent and the unreal. using their own unique styles, harsh & sukhesh create a surreal blend of storytelling that is not quite theatre and not quite street art.
quijote wallah is an interdisciplinary arts project supported by instituto cervantes, new delhi.
