A myriad of activities ranging from travel film and photography screenings will be part of the festival along with over 55 stalls of apparel, jewellery, home décor, accessories, kitsch, pop art and vintage on display.
Nomadic film screenings under the moon lit sky, funky rickshaws, roadside carts selling your favourite cutting chai and popcorn and colourful art installations will be some of the many amazing attractions at the Travelista.
The festival aims to establish a platform for formally trained artists, upcoming women designers and entrepreneurs to showcase their talent - over 50 upcoming women entrepreneurs and designers have been represented at Travelista so far.

23-year-old young entrepreneur Akshuna Bakshi organized the first edition of the festival by herself in Feb 2013 at Dilli Haat INA. For this edition, India’s leading backpacking company, indianbackpacker.com’s Akshay Chhugani has joined hands with Travelista. The festival promises to be bigger, better and an absolute delight for travel junkies, culture vultures, art and shopping lovers!

SPECIAL ATTRACTIONS AT TRAVELISTA

MOVIES
The films at the festival are fun, adventurous, colourful and path breaking. While some films explore the untraveled alleys of Middle East and breath-taking sceneries of Europe, others reveal the dangerous trade of diamond mining and poaching in Africa. The festival aims to entertain, educate and surprise the audience through its films & photographs. It even hopes to break the pre-conceived stereotypes people often carry about a destination or culture.

SHOPPING
There will also be a plethora of shopping options for all. The products exhibited at the festival are a unique representation of Indian and international culture, art, craft and design. You can grab a variety of things ranging from Lucknovi saree with a Marilyn Monroe portrait, travel themed vanity boxes, kitsch T-shirts, Bollywood cushion covers to authentic Indian jewellery, Pakistani apparels, French and Ikkat scarfs, bags, clutches and more.

TRAVEL WALL OF FAME
A special festival attraction will be the ‘Travel Wall of Fame’ that will showcase photographs of people posing in various destinations round the world. Anyone who is a traveller at heart can send in their pictures of their voyages to the festival team and adorn the wall of fame.

ART
The festival also gives talented artists a platform to exhibit their art to help them get buyers for their works. As a part of this initiative, an exclusive art installation that attempts to fuse Indian and Japanese cultures through Madhubani art (from the area in the Northern part of Bihar) along with the Japanese art of paper folding ‘Origami’ by artist Swayam Prabha will be displayed at the festival.

GAMES AND ACTIVITIES
Travelista festival will also have cool freebies like rafting vouchers and travel stays which you can attain by simply participating in travel games and activities at the festival. Whether you want to try your hand at packing a backpack in the shortest time, flaunt the globetrotter inside you in the travel trivia quizzes or want to simply get clicked at our ‘Travelista Tourist Studio’ with your favourite world wonder, the festival has it all!
