Entry : CHARGES*: INR 1250/person. INR 1100/person if in groups of 3 or more.
CHARGES INCLUDE: A guided walk, storytelling, special experiences in the Pandal Aratis and select snacks!
*Any other meals, joy-rides, shopping and personal expenses are not included in these charges.
*Children aged below 5 years are allowed free!

ESSENTIALS TO WEAR & CARRY:
1- All participants should be dressed conservatively to respect the sentiments of the religious nature of our walk.
2- Keep minimal nos of valuables with you.
3- Do wear a good pair of walking shoes or flip-flops.
4- Any good point & shoot camera.

Event Description : Delhi By Foot presents the walk 'Durga Devi Namastute’: Mythology, Festivities and Food.
The sonorous ‘Shankh-naad’ (blowing of Conch-shells) sends a thrill through each of us…and hundreds of lamps are lit for ‘Aratis’ to welcome the Devi Durga home…to live with us, amongst us….
Join us as we take you through the richness of the unique festivities, traditional rituals and celebrations associated with Durga Puja while we hop from one beautifully decorated Pandal to another….marvel at the beautiful ‘Durga Pratima’ (Durga Idols), savour traditional Bengali Foods which go beyond Fish Fry, Chicken Rolls & the famed Bengali Sweets!
HIGHLIGHTS:
1) A special visit and chat with members of one of the oldest continuously celebrated Community Durga Pujas of Delhi.
2) Pandal Hopping – Visiting other Puja Pandals (Puja Tents) of Delhi which have been in the forefront of design & innovation in term of creating visual masterpieces which turn into the ‘earthly abode’ for the Goddess during her 4 days amongst us mortals…
3) Hear stories of the mythological epic battle between Good & Evil when Goddess Durga slays the demon Mahishasur.
4) We will select for you the choicest of Bengali Cuisines at food stalls set up by Bengali cooks straight from PB (Poshchim Bongo) to satisfy your taste buds!
