Event Description : Delhi-6 Diwali Shopping - Shopping Frenzy and Foodie Delights in Chandni Chowk.

Raavan has been reduced to ashes…and now, it's time to welcome home the victor! Lord Ram, Sita and Lakshman are homeward bound and we mortals prepare their welcome and rejoice once again with the annual Festival of Lights, Deepawali...

As you plan to deck up your homes, offices and of course yourselves this Diwali, IndiaByFoot prepares to don a new hat – your friendly neighborhood shopping consultant!!

To help you navigate the chaotic bylanes (now even more) of Shahjahanabad (Old Delhi/Delhi-6), we will draw on our insights and guide you around for specific Diwali shopping specialities...

1) Gift with Silvery style – as we guide you around the silversmiths of Dariba Kalan and help you learn a few things about what goes into making such exquisite silverware. Get a good bargain on prices as festive buying reaches fever pitch...

2) Decorate with ̩lan Рas we help you navigate the tiny nooks of Kinari Bazaar to choose the best in festive decorations and accessories.

3) Plan the bang! – or as we suggest, firecrackers without the 'bang', as we take you to the special stalls for the choicest of 'Anaars and Phooljhadis'.

And no, we have not forgotten the popular highlight of most IndiaByFoot walks…to help sustain your energy in true festive style, we will also enjoy some delicious Sattvik (vegetarian) street foods in the alleys of ‘Purani Dilli’.

So get those walking shoes ready and pack a few (or lots of ) shopping bags and join us at Chandni Chowk this Sunday morning....
