Event Description : Art Bull presents 'Re-Wheeling The Chakra' A historical exhibition dedicated to Delhi Shilpi Chakra, the oldest art group founded in 1949 which was very strong that time and has no trace today

Emergence of Delhi Shilpi Chakra Group in 1949 with a motto ‘Art Illuminates Life’.

‘Re – Wheeling The Chakra’ is dedicated the Delhi Shilpi Charka Group founded in 1949. During that time it was a completely new art scene that was developing in Delhi and in the country. ‘Shilpi Chakra’ as the society was commonly known, started having regular exhibitions, discussions, talks and active interactions between creative art fields of visual arts, literature and music.

This show is being curated by Padma Shri Keshav Malik, who also was one of the active members of the Delhi Shilpi Chakra. 

Re – Wheeling The Chakra’ will showcase works of the following artists in alphabetical order – Anupam Sud, B. C. Sanyal, Bimal Dasgupta, Biren Dey, Devayani Krishna, Dhanraj Bhagat, J. Swaminathan, Jagadish Dey, K. C. Aryan, K. S. Kulkarni, Krishan Ahuja, Paramjeet Singh, Rajesh Mehra ,Ram Kumar, Rameshwar Broota, Sailoz Mukherjea, Santosh Jain, Satish Gujral, Shobha Broota, Surendra Chopra, Umesh Chandra Varma.
