Event Description : The Japan Foundation, New Delhi brings 'The Spirit of Budo: The History of Japan’s Martial Arts' exhibition of interesting collection of weapons used in traditional Japanese martial arts – BUDO. The exhibition will travel to various Indian cities like Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata and so on.

This exhibition can be categorized into two parts. In the first part, reproductions/originals of historical weapons such as bows and arrows, suits of armour, helmets, and so on are shown. The second part deals with the reorganisation of bujutsu to budō in the 19th and 20th centuries, and how spirit of martial arts is still inherent in the daily life of Japanese people today.
