Event Description : Let's talk about it!... A Parenting workshop on Sexuality Education
The intent of the  Sexuality Education workshop which is a part of the “Let’s Talk About It 

…” series is :

• To make caregivers more aware of adolescent needs and difficulties related to 

sexuality

• To develop effective communication with their children and in their journey, become   

more knowledgeable and more 'ask able' adults .

We undertake this journey through the use of psycho drama techniques that enable the

participants :

• To empathize with issues connected with sexuality 

• To explore them, leading perhaps to an added perspective to their existing 

understanding of the issues.

This workshop is for caregivers who wish to add a dimension to their understanding of the 

questions and concerns related to sexuality. It also aims at discussing certain themes and 

issues that allow parents to obtain some answers to their questions and concerns.

The objectives of the “Let’s Talk About It…” workshop on Sexuality Education are four fold:

• Focusing on cognitive, emotional and behavioral issues 

• Promoting the integration of new insights

• Encouraging  reflection and the expression of emotions 

• Furthering communication between caregivers and adolescents. 

The various areas that will be discussed and explored through psychodrama are:

• Attitudes towards sexuality –participants enhance their personal understanding of 

their perceptions of sexuality 

• Exploring the dynamics of communicating to adolescents about sexual issues and 

responsible sexual attitudes  

• Exploring and developing a perspective on LGBTQ

The long term aim of this workshop is to form a support group of like minded people who 

can further the cause of promoting a healthy social attitude towards sexuality issues.
