(A Fun Workshop in Voice modulation, Story Telling and Puppetry) 

If they can be India’s Best Dramebaaz…..Dancing Stars…..Singing Stars then why not Radio Jockeys? Why can’t youngsters in the age group of 5-15years Write./Produce/Direct and present a Dance-Drama while acting alongside life sized puppets, which they have made themselves?
That is the question RJ Simran is seeking to answer with her Workshop.
After more than 16 years of Radio experience with various FM Stations as a Programming Head, Creative Head or a Radio Jockey,RJ Simran is one Jock who when she speaks everybody hears her spellbound!!!! RJ Simran hosts the morning show on Radio City 91.1 called “Dhinchak Mornings” from 7-11am, she has been waking Delhi up at 6am since the last 5 years!!! It would be right to say she has her words on the pulse of the City! So be it a burning Social issue or a Scammy Political one….a Glamorous Filmy issue or simply a trafficky one she is the one advising/debating/discussing/arguing the pros and cons everyday with Delhi in her whimsical,funny,inimitable manner!
This summer RJ Simran has decided to extend her expertise to the youngsters with a unique 
concept of merging Voice Modulation with acting and Puppet making, in the “Voice Craft” 
workshop. RJ Simran says, “Actually it was the result of a late lunch…in an upmarket Delhi 
restaurant where I had gone with my colleagues and there were youngsters creating a racket chatting loudly and basically having fun. I heard them and thought if only we could channelize this humour,energy and fizz in the right channel they could beat me hands down on any radio 
station any day!  My boss encouraged me and we set about putting it on paper…….then I got support from Colour Maths a pioneer in the field of kids craft items and we together cracked “Voice Craft”. How well we’re able to pass in this endeavour, you can rate when we get our youngsters to perform a 45 minute Dance-Drama with PUPPETS on stage!
“The theme of “VoiceCraft” is "Discover India". Its purpose to educate & entertain, while 
enhancing the skillset of the children about India and its legacy” says RJ Simran. It is an effort 
towards tapping and developing the enormous creative talent of youngsters through various art forms and in turn, making them more communicative, confident and proud of their rich cultural heritage. 
RJ Simran says, “Voice modulation affects every aspect of our personality be it confidence, 
Self assurance, smartness, popularity or success in career….or even the love life! But very little weightage is given to it in our schools. I remember when I was in school, I used to love reciting poems, but always felt at a loss as to the best way/manner/sound I should recite it. Now with so 
many avenues for expressions, I feel its but natural to start emphasizing Voice Modulation and 
articulation.
Voice Craft is the First, in a series of other such workshops which we will be executing with various schools of Delhi
