21 year old Monica Heldal is a rare bird in the fauna of Norwegian artistry. Though still a novice in her trade, she possesses qualities that few others have. Her personal form of folk-music includes large doses of country, blues and roots, and is timelessly beautiful, with a depth that is extraordinary and somewhat surprising considering her youth.

Even before she signed a record deal, her music was play listed on national radio, and the track “Scarlet” was even chosen as the theme tune for NRK (Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation) television drama “Hjem” (Home). Monica is playing ever more prestigious venues in Norway and abroad, with standing ovations the norm rather than the exception, and she has only just started her journey…
