William Dalrymple calls Delhi the 'City of Djinns'....but have you ever wondered why? Who are these Djinns of Delhi? Where can they be found? Where do they come from and go to?
DelhiByFoot (DBF) will take you on the trail of these mythical Djinns to the Kotla (Fort) of Firuzshah Tughlaq, to the dark, shadowy & mysterious world of Black Magic, Tilismi Djinns & Fakirs...Yes, the sprawling Ferozshah Kotla, the 5th city of Delhi, never ceases to amaze, with its numerous monuments & peculiarities. Be it the massive Ashokan-era stone pillar or a Baoli(Step-well) or the ruins of the 14th Century palace where the faithful believe reside the Djinns of Delhi..... place where devotees come and write letters to the Djinns of Feroz Shah Kotla Fort, stick coins to the walls of the mosque and offer milk & sweets to the Djinns, all with the single objective of having their wishes fulfilled!
Note : The walk presentation will be done in English & Hindi
