Event Description : 'Hollywood talkies' film screening. As part of Documentary film series.
Synopsis: With the advent of talkies in 1927, a group of young Spanish actors left for America to work in the Spanish versions of blockbusters, with the hope of becoming a stars. With the emergence of dubbing, that solution to reach all markets was very expensive and most of them were forgotten, except artists like Edgar Neville, Enrique Jardiel Poncela or Imperio Argentina, who returned to Spain. This documentary, presented at the Venice Film Festival, regains his memory.
