Event Description : A short film by Jaskunwar Kohli and Yuvraj Francis, Parallel Tales is a wonderful depiction on the family of the Akshara Theatre. This is a story about the play, The Ramayana written by Gopal Sharman and performed solo worldwide including on Broadway by Jalabala Vaidya, and their journey through numerous hardships and creating the play that is now known as "India's gift to Broadway" by the New York Times. Over the years The Ramayana has transformed from being the powerful solo act that it was to a full cast production with brilliant actors that have been training under the guidance of Jalabala and Gopal.

The screening will be followed by a reception and refreshments.
