Event Description : Subbody Resonance Butoh
Subbody is the subconscious body. In the subconscious realm, the subconsciousness and body are melting into oneness and opening a multidimensional world. Taking off the human conditions of ego and self, dancer dances life memories, feelings and experiences folded in the body. They are always resonating with everything, the physical elements of gravity, air, sound, taste..and the mental elements of dreams, illusions and hallucinations. All these elements are always streaming and transforming in strange and complex ways.
We will:
Condition mind-body to switch from daily mode to listening mode. Become a quiet body.
Listen and follow subtle signals of life; subtle sensations and feelings streaming in life. We call these qualia.
Explore different conditoning methods with breath, sound, movement and resonance -touch method.
Unlock and research hidden qualia, hidden skin, hidden fluid, hidden muscles, hidden joints and hidden body.
Explore the hidden self and resonance ability of life.
Workshop by : Agu Tara
Agu has completed two years of studying and practicing subbody butoh under the guidance of Rhizome Lee, a subbody Butoh practitioner and researcher at Subbody Butoh Foundation, Dharamsala. She has held workshops and performed regularly at the Himalayan Butoh Festivals and at different venues in and around Delhi. She is a midwife at Quiet House, wherein, a midwife is the facilitator of another life's creativity.
