Event Description : 'Mawsynram - An eye in the clouds' solo exhibition of photo compositions by Rahul Chaudhury.
This is a solo exhibition of Rahul Chaudhury where he has photographed the culture, lifestyle and landscapes of Mawsynram one of the villages in Meghalaya and representing it in the form of photo compositions in Studio Spaces.  These works are unique in style and reflects much about the living of Khasi Tribes in Meghalaya.  

Studio Spaces is an initiative designed to free artists from the straitjacket of gallery system and expensive public exhibitions spaces.  For the last few years, economic vested interests have been controlling the art world.  Their activities are denying artists free and unhindered expression.  The artists are being compelled either to work on commercial basis at art galleries or at art fairs to lure the dwindling buyers.  Our initiative is aimed at demolishing the stranglehold to create the possibility of an authentic artistic expression.

Studio Spaces has begun movable and multi-space exhibitions in the mega-town of Delhi, India and in this regard this is second show of the yearlong program.
