A DYNASTY FADES AWAY: MUGHALON KA DHALTAA SURAJ
As part of a 2-day Heritage event on the MUGHAL STORY IN DELHI on Sun, 5th May we explore the 7th city of Delhi and the fort which witnessed Mughal dominance of Hindoostan at its peak to when the last Mughal Emperor was exiled by the British to Burma.
Join Team DBF this Sunday morning at the 400yr old 7th city of Delhi, Shahjahanabad and then walk into the crowning jewel of the 17th century Mughal Empire, the Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
We begin with a sumptuous traditional breakfast as the city wakes up from its slumber and prepares for a new day of work & business. Then we discover the hazaar secrets of the 'Qila-e-Mubarak' better known as Lal Quilla or Red Fort which will give you a fresh perspective of the Mughal Dynasty and the rapid decline within 100yrs of the creation of this city and the fort. Learn of the tragic tale of how the once-mighty Mughal empire was reduced to the area of Chandni Chowk & Chawri Bazar...and how the Dynasty came to an end in the faraway lands of Burma.
Presentation will be done in 'Jabaan-e-Dehli" Urdu/Hindi and also in English
