ESSENTIALS TO WEAR & CARRY:
1- Any good camera, & if you have your Zoom lenses don't forget to bring them
2- The terrain involves a longish walk of about 2Kms, climbing atop stairs so preferably wear a pair of good walking shoes/sneakers!
3- A bottle of water.
Note : This is a slightly long walk approx 3KM, Might be uncomfortable for those with difficulty walking.

Event Description : Delhi by Foot presents "Ek Sheher Thaa Jahanpanah"-4th City of Delhi Heritage Walk!!
Mohammad Bin Tughlaq, the 'mad' Sultan is best known for having shifted the capital of Hindoostan from Dilli to Daulatabad near Aurangabad in Maharashtra. 
But what happened to the city that he built & lived in before moving to Daulatabad? Where is it now?
Join DBF this sunday morning to know more about the 4th medieval city of Dilli, which flourished 650 years ago and listen to hazaar stories of the 'madness' of the Sultan Mohammad Tuglaq.

Highlights of the Walk:
1) Explore a unique 14th Century Mosque whose domes, pillars & overall structure make it an Architect & Photographer's delight!
2) Experience the wisdom of town & water planning methods of 700 yrs ago with a visit to the earliest Barrages used to control inflow of water into the city
3) We end our visit with a 'Salaam' at the Dargah of the 4th city's resident Sufi Saint, Roshan Nasiruddin Chirag-e-Dehlvi, the spiritual successor & last of the 3 major Chisti Sufi Saints who lived, taught & died in Delhi.
4) Breakfast options for those interested in a quick bite!
