Event Description : Thespianics presents '1757 (When the Gods frowned)' a three act play in english based on the tumultuous life and times of the Nawab of Bengal, Siraj-ul-Daula.
In support of Agewell Foundation. 
It is 1756, a tumultuous time in India's history - the Mughal Empire is on the decline and its various vassals are beginning to break free. The Europeans are beginning to flex their muscles. The old Nawab of Bengal died, after anointing his young grandson, Siraj-ud-daula as the next Nawab. The young prince is confronted with the problem of rising British ambitions. In addition to this, there are many contenders for his throne. He has lofty ambitions, but is there anyone who will stand by him to help him realize his dreams?
