About the Speakers:
Mr. Inder Malhotra is a former editor of The Times of India and a former Guardian correspondent in India. He has written a biography of Indira Gandhi and is currently a syndicated columnist for 30 newspapers and journals.
Dr. Chandrashekhar Dasgupta has served as Ambassador to the European Union (1996-2000); Ambassador to China (1993-1996); High Commissioner to Tanzania (1983-1986); High Commissioner to Singapore (1981-1983). He has also served as Vice-President of ECOSOC (1988-89); Vice-Chair, UNICEF Executive Board (1988-89), etc. He is currently Member, Prime Minister’s Council on Climate Change and Distinguished Fellow, The Energy and Resources Institute, New Delhi.
Dr. Srinath Raghavan is Senior Fellow at Centre for Policy Research, New Delhi. He is author of War and Peace in Modern India: A Strategic History of the Nehru Years (Permanent Black, 2010). His book on the 1971 crisis will be published later this year.
