Synopsis
Man is a loner in every walk of his life. It is just not a philosophical truth, but a fact that he often finds himself lost in oblivion amidst the divisive society on the lines of socio-economy and political chaos and the surge of threat, too. However, he is also a true and a valiant warrior, who does not have the slightest tendency to become an ‘escapist’. This is why he marches forward, emotionally charged, through the meanders of difficulties and challenges until his last breath! Grace and Glare in life is for its betterment! EN SOLITAIRE is a tribute to such emotions and feelings.

1st Solo:
A Season in Hell (Politics of Becoming)
Scripted and acted by Anjon Bose
A political interpretation of the original masterpiece of the precocious French poet, Arthur Rimbaud's ‘Saison en Enfer’ (A Season in Hell), this solo gives an insight into his life and thoughts.

2nd Solo:
Devil’s Dialogue
Scripted and acted by Rana Mitra
An inspiration from the works of dramatist, Friedrich von Klinger, this solo is a socio-political satire where the Devil welcomes Dr Faust to Hell and presents him before the decaying and degenerating Mankind.

3rd Solo:
Sri Krishna Uvachya
Scripted and acted by Indrajit Das
Do we truly understand the Bhagwad Gita? Was Sri Krishna justified or was Arjun too weak and flummoxed by the inevitable battle of Kurukshetra? This solo tries to find an answer.

4th Solo:
Vikram Singh Rathore
Scripted by Torit Mira and acted by Sashi Guha
An inspiration from Miguel De Cervantes’ ‘Don Quixote’, the solo is a comical tragedy of the ‘Mango Man’ (Aam Aadmi), presenting an introspection of today’s socio-political reality.

5th Solo:
Setsumei (Kaifiyat)
Scripted and acted by Sreemoyee Dasgupta
Based on a short story ‘In a Grove’ by Ryunosule Akutagawa, the solo narrates the plight of a samurai's wife, Masago, and her feministic instinct to survive, whatever the price.
