With over 1000 shows all over the globe, Papa CJ is widely recognized as the global face of cutting-edge Indian stand-up comedy. In 2008 he represented India in NBC’s TV Show Last Comic Standing, where from amongst the thousands of global contestants he was recognized as one of the top ten comedians in the world. In October 2011 he recorded a Showtime USA Stand-up Comedy TV Special with Russell Peters in Amsterdam. The Times of India recently called him the number 1 stand-up comedian in India and in December 2011 Toastmaster International magazine called him one of the most influential comedians around the world. A performer with a conscience, he also runs a charity for underprivileged children in India that is funded by his comedy.
