Event Description : One day Interpretive Arts Workshop.
As a part of the “Interdisciplinarity” and “Creativity” wings of Project Motley, this Interpretive Arts workshop aims to bring children and adults on a level playing field, for making cross disciplinary interpretations of visual, musical or linguistic stimuli. As a part of this full- day workshop in Gurgaon, we will be engaging in exercises that help us express our response to (what is perceived as) art through various other artistic mediums, which suit our unique thinking style. We will also be linking our visual and auditory memories to (what may rationally seem like) unrelated (but what are perhaps emotionally related) stimuli in the external environment. Finally, we will be engaging in collaborative art and building stories through words, visuals, movement and music.The main aim of this workshop, therefore, is to uninhibit the participants enough to make visual, movement, linguistic and musical metaphors and to use their unique thinking style to do so. The purpose of the collaborative art component is to engage the participants in processes that are unpredictable and where intuition maybe more useful than rationale.
