An inspiring music video for the One Billion Rising campaign: women worldwide rising up and against all kinds of violence. 
Lightning Testimonies

The Lightning Testimonies reflects upon a history of conflict in the Indian subcontinent through experiences of
sexual violence. As the film explores this violence, there emerge multiple submerged narratives, sometimes in people, images and memories, and at other times in objects from nature and everyday life that stand as silent but surviving witnesses. In all narratives the body becomes central -as a site for honour, hatred and humiliation and also for dignity and protest. Screening followed by discussion with film makers and women activists.


Background : Kriti Film Club invites you for its March screenings, this month is dedicated to explorations of women, their struggles, perspectives and there rise against violence. With marking the women’s day March 8th, the month is also marked with sharing memories of the lost, and visualizing a revolutionary movement of the suppressed. Come and share this month of viewership and discussion with us the once heard and lost stories.
