Focusing on a common Indian identity constitutes, the authors examine in detail the predominance of family, community and caste in everyday life, the attitude toward sex and marriage, prejudice, the concept of 'other' (especially in relation to the Hindu-Muslim conflict), health and death, as well as the Indian mind, shaped by the Hindu vision.
