Event Description : The Gati Dance Forum presents  'Dialogues in Dance' Facilitated by Being Motion - Irene Sposetti & Johan Nilsson

This workshop is directed towards dancers with and without experience in contact improvisation. The beginner will have the chance to acquire the basic tools to relate to another body in contact and the more experienced will have the chance to deepen their practice by exploring subtle aspects of the technique. The workshop will focus on the ability to read each other’s bodies, rhythms and dynamics to enable a clear dialogue in an improvised dance as well as to use the eyes and other senses to understand the spatial intention of our partners. This workshop is a fantastic preparation for the evening jam at 6.30pm.

BEING MOTION was created in 2011 by two artists/ musicians, Irene Sposetti & Johan Nilsson. Irene and Johan have been performing and offering teachings to dance and theatre companies, dance schools and academies, yoga centres and numerous festivals all over Europe. They offer regular classes and workshops in Stockholm and in India as well. They organise dance retreats and workshops in nature; awakening the connection between the body/movement with the natural environment and its ecological systems. Open only to the participants of “CONTACT & IMPROVISATION“ and “DIALOGUES IN DANCE” Workshops
The evening will begin with a presentation of the work with the group of the morning classes followed by a short performance by Being Motion. This will be followed by an open jam session, which will begin with an introduction with guided warming up. This will be an opportunity for participants to explore themselves and meet others in movement, playfulness, curiosity and creativity.
