Event Description : The Gati Dance Forum presents Limon and Cunningham based Dance Class with Chavi Bansal.
This is a modern class based on a mix of Limon, Cunningham and Floor work techniques. Designed for students who have some previous dance experience, this class will focus on the technical fundamentals of modern dance vocabulary. The class will enable the development of core-strength and balance, and articulation of the feet and spine. The participants will be challenged to go “off-center” through forward curves, side tilts and twists, as well as travel sequences across the floor with different rhythms and arches. Particular emphasis is placed on learning and exploring new dance phrases.
Chavi Bansal started her career in India with The Danceworx. She has studied Modern dance and Dance
Theatre in Fontys Dans Academy, Netherlands for 4 years and later finished her education with specialization in Choreography. Chavi has danced in various productions and as a choreographer worked with University of Stavanger (Norway),Production House Dansateliers (Rotterdam) and theaters like Theater NWE Vorst, Park theater and Mundial Productions.
