Event Description : Encuentros con la narrativa de: Santiago Roncagliolo / Encounters with the narrative of: Santiago Roncagliolo' a talk by Santiago Roncagliolo
In collaboration with the Embassy of Peru in India and Jaipur Literature Festival.
Biography: Considered one of the lead authors of the current Spanish language by the mexican writer Carlos Fuentes, the Hay Festival, Granta magazine and the british newspaper The Guardian, Santiago Roncagliolo has published the novels Shame, which was made into a film, Red April, that received the Alfaguara prize and the english Independent Prize of Foreign Fiction, and As close to life. He has also written true stories that have sparked several polemics in Latin American countries. His chronicles have appeared in the most prestigious international magazines such as Vanity Fair, National Geographic or Vogue. His books has been translated into eighteen languages.
