Event Description : 'Amrita Sher-Gil - The Magyar Connection' Seminar with participation of Indian and Hungarian art historians and scholars.
Commemorating the 100th birth anniversary of the founder of the modern Indian art Amrita Sher-Gil noted art historian and scholars from Hungary and India will trace the journey of Amrita Sher-gill in India where her work rose to its peak and influenced the course of modern and contemporary art. Papers will be presented by Dr. Katalin Keserü (Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest), Dr. Ágnes Pap (Librarian, at the National Széchényi Library, Budapest), Dr. Rakhee Balaram (Art
Historian and Curator), Yashodhara Dalmia (Art Historian) etc.
