Who is Justice Radhabinod Pal? He is one of the most well known Indian persons in Japan, since he was the only judge who defended Japan at the time of Tokyo Trial. He was the source of courage for many of the Japanese people at the time. Although his thought and his statemenent has sometime been controversial, and there has also been a certain misunderstanding about himself, we can not emphasize enough the significance of one Asian intellectual who raised his voice against all other western judges, after WWII.
This time, we would like to look into one aspect of India-Japan relationship in mdern age, which has not been paid much attention to in India.
