A comic drama infused with love, passion, denial, humour and grief, based on the life and times of an actress who saw the world in her art, but ignored the harsh realities of the real world outside. The play is set against the famed company theatres that performed dance
dramas through the 1950s till the 80s. Nazia is an actress who has been through four decades of performance, and seven decades of personal travails and political
upheavals. The play traces her personal and professional journey and her relationships with those closest to her. A fascinating look into the world of drama and theatre, the play
moves between the past and the Partition of India, to the musical productions of yesteryear, and back again to the contemporary world of cinema and stage today.
